It executes contrast scans to detect lines of text, outlines boundaries automatically, and translates letter structures into vector metrics. We then cross-examine these dimensions against index arrays for popular open-source and commercial fonts. By matching aspect bounds, heights, and thicknesses locally, we can suggest matches in milliseconds without transferring files over the web.
